Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Chisapani – Scenic Trek through Nature

Your adventure begins after breakfast when our Asiana Treks and Tours team picks you up from your hotel around 8:00–8:30 AM. After a short briefing, enjoy a one-hour private drive to Sundarijal, the gateway to your trek located northeast of Kathmandu.

From Sundarijal, follow the water supply pipeline as the trail climbs stone steps through a picturesque village and lush forest with a small waterfall. Enter Shivapuri–Nagarjuna National Park at the army checkpoint, where permits are verified. Continue to Pani Muhan, Kathmandu’s water source, and then steadily climb to Mulkharka, a traditional village where you stop for lunch after about three hours of trekking.

After lunch, ascend through rhododendron and oak forests to Borlang Bhanjyang Pass, offering sweeping valley views, rolling hills, and stunning panoramas of Langtang and Ganesh Himal. From here, descend to the peaceful village of Chisapani, meaning “cool water.” Surrounded by greenery and countryside, Chisapani offers breathtaking Himalayan views—from Manaslu to Mt. Everest on clear days. Stay overnight at a simple lodge, enjoying the natural beauty and cultural charm of this serene hilltop village.


Day 2 : Chisapani to Nagarkot – Trekking Through Hills and Forests (17 km / 10.5 miles)

Today, wake up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas. On clear mornings, you can see a panoramic sweep of peaks, including Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, and even distant Mt. Everest. After breakfast, embark on your Hike through the serene middle hills, surrounded by lush forests and traditional villages.

The trail passes through the peaceful landscapes of Shivapuri National Park, where you may spot wildlife and enjoy the serene countryside atmosphere. After an hour of walking, visit Dhap Lake, an artificial reservoir that stores monsoon water for Kathmandu Valley. Continue with a gentle hike for two hours to Jhule, then descend to Chaukune Bhanjyang and on the way to Jarsing Pauwa, where you stop for lunch at a local eatery.

In the afternoon, follow a dirt road through Kattike Bhanjyang and Aranikot, gradually ascending toward Nagarkot, a famous hill station known for its Himalayan panoramas and sunset views. Upon arrival, check into your hotel in Nagarkot and relax while enjoying the beauty of this charming mountain town.


Day 3 : Nagarkot to Kathmandu – Sunrise, Culture, and Heritage Exploration

Start your day early in Nagarkot, waking up to a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. On clear days, the panoramic views stretch from Mt. Everest to Langtang and beyond, with rolling green hills and terraced fields of corn, millet, mustard, and rice adding to the charm.

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast with stunning mountain scenery, begin your journey back to Kathmandu. You may either trek or drive via Changu Narayan, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Kathmandu Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its ancient architecture, sculptures, and rich cultural history.

On the way back to Kathmandu, stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, known as “City of Devotees.” Wander through its beautifully preserved courtyards, temples, and traditional Newari houses. By late afternoon, drive back to Kathmandu, where your memorable trekking and cultural adventure concludes.
