Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1337m/4385 ft).

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Our staff will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After settling in, you'll have time to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel or relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.


Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing and Preparation.

Today, you'll take a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu's renowned cultural and historical sites. Visit UNESCO World Heritage sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. These iconic sites offer a glimpse into Nepal's rich cultural heritage. In the afternoon, you'll have a pre-trip meeting with your climbing guide and fellow trekkers, where you can discuss the upcoming journey and address any questions.

Day 3 : Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m/2713 ft).

Departing early in the morning, you'll drive to Pokhara, a picturesque city surrounded by lush hills and the stunning Annapurna range. The drive offers breathtaking views of rural landscapes, terraced fields, and charming villages. Once in Pokhara, you can stroll along the serene Phewa Lake, explore Lakeside's vibrant market, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Day 4 : Fly to Jomsom and Trek to Kagbeni (2800m/9186ft)

After a short and scenic flight to Jomsom, you'll start your trek to Kagbeni. The trail leads along the Kali Gandaki River, passing through wind-swept landscapes and traditional villages. Kagbeni, a gateway to the Upper Mustang region, welcomes you with its unique architecture and ancient charm.


Day 5 : Trek to Chele (3050m/10007ft)

Leaving Kagbeni, the trail takes you higher into the Mustang region. As you ascend, the scenery transforms into barren landscapes and striking rock formations. Chele, your destination for the day, offers a glimpse into the traditional life of the local inhabitants.

Day 6 : Trek to Ghiling (3570m/11712ft)

Today's trail winds through diverse terrain, including forests and arid stretches. Pass through the charming village of Samar and continue to Ghiling. Along the way, you'll witness stunning views of the Nilgiri and Annapurna ranges.


Day 7 : Trek to Tsarang (3560m/11679ft)

As you trek to Tsarang, you'll cross the Nyi La Pass and explore the picturesque Ghami village. The trail goes through scenic landscapes and past ancient monasteries, providing insight into the region's rich history and culture.


Day 8 : Trek to Lo-Manthang (3800m/12467ft)

Arrive at Lo-Manthang, the ancient walled city that serves as the capital of the Mustang region. The village is whole in history, with its maze-like alleys, royal palace, and monasteries offering a glimpse into the region's cultural heritage.

Day 9 : Acclimatisation and Exploration.

Take a day to acclimatise to the altitude and explore Lo-Manthang. Visit monasteries, interact with locals, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. This day also serves as preparation for the challenging days ahead.

Day 10 : Trek to Yara (3650m/11975ft)

Leaving Lo-Manthang, your trail heads toward Yara. Pass through picturesque villages and enjoy the changing scenery as you venture deeper into the Mustang region.


Day 11 : Trek to Luri Cave Monastery (4350m/14272ft)

A highlight of this day is a visit to the Luri Cave Monastery, an ancient and revered site. The trail offers unique vistas, and the monastery is a fascinating testament to the region's religious history.

Day 12 : Trek to Ghuma Thanti (4800m/15748ft)

Continue your ascent to Ghuma Thanti, a high-altitude campsite surrounded by rugged landscapes. As you gain altitude, the air becomes crisper, and you'll notice the changing vegetation.

Day 13 : Trek to Base Camp (4950m/16240ft)

Reach the base camp of Saribung Peak, the starting point for your climb. The base camp provides the best views of the surrounding peaks and is your resting place before the summit push.

Day 14 : Summit Day and Descend to Base Camp

Today is the culmination of your journey. Embark on the challenging summit push to Saribung Peak (6328m/20761ft). Enjoy the thrill of standing atop the peak, surrounded by breathtaking vistas. After celebrating your accomplishment, begin your descent back to the base camp.

Day 15 : Contingency Day

This day is a buffer for unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions. It also allows for additional acclimatization if needed.


Day 16 : Trek to Nogaru (4100m/13451ft)

Begin your descent from the base camp, retracing your steps toward Nogaru. The changing landscape provides a fresh perspective on the trail you initially trekked.


Day 17 : Trek to Yak Kharka (4000m/13123ft)

As you continue descending, you'll pass through Yak Kharka. The trail offers stunning views of the Mustang region's rugged terrain and traditional villages.

Day 18 : Trek to Jomsom (2720m/8924ft)

Complete your descent and arrive back in Jomsom. Celebrate the success of your trek and reflect on the remarkable journey you've undertaken.

Day 19 : Fly to Pokhara and Kathmandu.

Take a scenic and best flight from Jomsom to Pokhara and then to Kathmandu. As you soar above the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, you'll have a chance to reflect on the incredible landscapes you've traversed.


Day 20 : Departure.

On your last day in Nepal, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure. As you bid farewell to this remarkable country, you'll carry cherished memories of your Saribung Peak climbing adventure and the friendships forged.
