You'll visit three different Durbar Squares in Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. You will also explore Pashupatinath Temple with its crematorium and Changu Narayan Temple, sacred sites for the world's 1.2 billion Hindus, who comprise 15% of the global population. Additionally, you'll visit Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Lumbini, the birthplace a postle of Buddha, centers of spiritual faith for the world's fourth-largest religion, Buddhism, which has over 520 million followers, accounting for seven percent of the global population.
When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative at the Airport will be carrying a signboard with our company’s name and sometimes your name. Welcome by our representative at the Airport, and then you will be transferred to the hotel and checked in. For a while, take time to refresh. A trip briefing will follow later today, and the time will be notified to you by a member of our staff who will pick you up at the Airport. He will let you know about your tour and travel orientation. If you are tired from a long journey, take a rest if not. Then, please be ready to explore and relax in the important tourist hub, Thamel. For your convenience, I will let you know about some good restaurants, ATMs, money changers, supermarkets, and necessary gear shops for your trip. If you are late back out of our office time, we can reschedule for tomorrow morning or evening for the trip orientation.
After breakfast, we will take you for a day tour of cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu Valley. The tour will give you a mixed insight into the history, culture, art, architecture, and spirituality of Kathmandu Valley. The sites include Swoyambhunath, aka Monkey Temple, The oldest of all places in Kathmandu Valley. Swoyambhunath is an important Buddhist spiritual site with over two thousand years of history. This site has gained a popular name as a monkey temple, as this small forested hill is a suitable habitat for hundreds of monkeys. The visit there will heighten your spiritual and cultural experience. Patan City, including Patan Durbar Square: A tour of the medieval city of Patan gives you a great insight into the ethnic Newari culture, Buddhist spirituality, religious harmony, art, and architecture while you stroll around the charismatic alleys taking you to magnificent local community squares known as Bahal and eventually leading you to an incredible medieval palace square. The monuments and skills of the local artisans displayed on those monuments in the square will stun you with their unbelievable charm. Boudhanath Stupa: The largest of its kind in the world, this magnificent stupa is a very important center of faith for the people following Tibetan Buddhism. After Breakfast in Kathmandu at our Hotel, Leaving behind the bustling city, our journey via a scenic drive to the lush lowlands of Chitwan National Park. The change in scenery is dramatic as you enter a world of dense forests, grasslands, and diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, you'll settle into your accommodation nestled within this natural haven, offering a preview of the exciting wildlife experiences.
Today is dedicated to immersing yourself in the wonders of Chitwan National Park. An exhilarating elephant safari takes you deep into the jungle, where you might encounter rhinos, deer, and even elusive tigers. A jungle walk lets you connect with nature more personally, and a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River offers glimpses of various bird species. As the sun sets, a Tharu cultural show introduces you to the local ethnic group's vibrant traditions.
