2. Tour Introduction: Kathmandu Heritage Meets Himalayan Trails
This curated itinerary begins with a deep dive into Kathmandu’s spiritual and historical core. You’ll explore Durbar Square’s ancient palaces, the majestic Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and the sacred Hindu cremation site of Pashupatinath. Each site tells a story of dynasties, deities, and devotees that shaped the valley for over a millennium.
But this journey doesn’t stop with temples and stupas. It expands outward—literally—to the valley’s rim, where traditional village life and undisturbed nature still reign. From the sunrise haven of Nagarkot to the peaceful monastery at Namo Buddha, your path winds through terraced hillsides, pine forests, and quiet roads. The views open up to include Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and even Mount Everest on a clear day.
The trail connects cultural learning with physical movement—soft trekking that’s ideal for both seasoned walkers and first-timers.
