The Druk Path Trekking in Bhutan is an adventure trekking tour taking you to spectacular places in Bhutan. From Tiger’s Nest trekking in Paro to other adventure camping treks in mystical places between Paro and Thimpu, this Druk Path Trekking gives a beautiful glance of the culture, spirituality and nature of Bhutan.

A total of five days of adventure camping trek is an extensive exploration of rural Bhutanese life and unspoiled nature. The trek passes through beautiful villages, rushing rivers, serene lakes, and lush forests with magnificent views of the Himalayan range. A visit to the incredible Dzongs and Gompas gives an in-depth understanding of the Buddhist culture in Bhutan.

Trip Itinerary

Your trip day starts today when you arrive to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon your arrival, you will be received by our representative at the airport. He will be carrying a signboard with our company’s name on it. Then you will be transferred to the tour hotel and checked in. A trip briefing will follow later today and the time will be notified to you by the representative who picks you up from the airport. We will come to meet and brief you about the trip at the fixed time. Until then just relax or explore a bit of surrounding.

We take you for a day tour of cultural heritage monuments in Kathmandu valley after breakfast. The tour will give you a mixed insight of history, culture, art, architecture and spirituality of Kathmandu valley. The sites include; Swoyambhunath aka Monkey Temple: The oldest of all sites in Kathmandu valley, Swoyambhunath is an important Buddhist spiritual site having the history over two thousand years old. This site has gained a popular name as monkey temple as this small forested hill is a good habitat for hundreds of monkeys. The visit there will heighten your spiritual and cultural experience. Patan City including Patan Durbar Square: A tour to medieval city of Patan gives you a great insight about ethnic Newari culture, Budhhist spirituality, religious harmony, art and architecture while you stroll around the charismatic alleys taking you to magnificent local community squares known as Bahal and eventually leading you to an incredible medieval palace square. The monuments and skill of the local artisans displayed on those monuments in the square will stun you with their unbelievable charm. Boudhanath Stupa: The largest of its kind in the world, this magnificent stupa is a very important center of faith for the people following Tibetan Buddhism. This place is nice Circular Square with the stunning stupa in the middle of it which spreads a lot of spiritual vibrations around the atmosphere.

Fly to Paro, Bhutan after breakfast. The flight provides a spectacularly dramatic view of the Himalayan range including the view of Mt. Everest as you fly east from Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Paro, our representative will pick you up and take you for sightseeing tour of Paro. Visit monastery, museum, archery ground etc. Stay overnight in Paro.

Start the day after breakfast. Drive to the northern part of Paro to visit the remains of Drukgyal Dzong, a 17th century Dzong which was destroyed in a fire. Later drive to Satsam Chhorten and start the hike to Taktsang Monastery famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. Hike up or take a horse ride to go to the amazing Tiger’s Nest and return back down and drive back to city. Take you leisurely relaxing moment after you freshen up. Overnight stay in Paro.

After the breakfast today, the trek to Jele Dzong starts. The trek is gradual uphill climb for about three hours. Once you are on the camping site, you can see the beautiful view of Paro valley and majestic snow-capped Himalayan range behind it. You camp just below the Jele La pass and the ruins of Jele Dzong. Settle into you camping tents and enjoy the incredible view of the surrounding.

Take your breakfast at the camp and start the trek for the day. The trek today is another gradual uphill climb to Jangchulakha for about four hours. Chances of viewing a magnificent view of Mt. Chomolahari and several other mountain peaks. Reach the camp, settle in and relax.

As you start your trek for the day after your breakfast at the camp, so many wonderful views welcome you on the trail. A spectacular mountain which represents the protective deity of Paro, Jichu Drake, towers high at the elevation of 6989 meters. The majestic view of Jimilangtsho Lake is another alluring factor during the trek today. Reach the camping site after a walk of about four hours and settle in to relax.

Another day of four hours’ trek starts right after the breakfast at your camp. Go past the beautiful lake of Janetsho and lots of other beautiful encounters with nature, culture and spirituality. Reach the camping site near Simkota Lake and settle into your camp.

Trek for today also starts after breakfast at the camp. Begin your day with a gradual uphill walk and have a beautiful view of mountain peak from the top. Then the trail descends gradually through juniper forest and reaches Phajoding for camping. About four hours of walk today takes you to camping site. Once you reach there, settle into your camp and relax.

Today you trek further down to Thimpu after breakfast. You can start at your leisurely pace as the walk today is short only of about three hours. Walk on the leisurely pace, reach Thimpu, check into a hotel and relax.

Drive to Punakha after breakfast and go for exploration of beautiful Punakha and Wangdue valleys for the whole day. The drive from Thimpu to Punakha is scenic and takes you through a mountain pass of Dochu La pass at 3088 meters above sea level. After the exploration of Punakha and Wangdue, come back to Punakha hotel and stay overnight there.

Drive from Punakha to Paro valley via Thimpu. A short sightseeing tour of Thimpu is due for this day. Once in Paro, check into a hotel in Paro and relax.

Be transferred to airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, you will be received by our representative to transfer you to your hotel. Check into the hotel and take a leisurely walk around.

We will transfer you to airport for the final departure. End of tour services.
