Overview

Overview

Ganesh Himal is a remote area in central Nepal. Very few trekkers have visited this area. This trek is named after one of the popular peaks that lies northwest of Kathmandu. Trekking in the Ganesh Himal area allows the trekkers to observe the rich Nepalese cultural tradition from the closest quarters and intermingle with locals, hence giving the trekkers a sense of satisfaction. Besides it also offers excellent habitat for a wide variety of rich flora and fauna at the foothills of the Ganesh Himal. Trekkers will be impressed with the display of berberis, primula, orchids and a variety of ferns, the whole area is sets ablaze by yellow blossoms of double Jasmine. The dense forest teemed with Spanish oak, blue pine and in springtime blossoming of the rhododendron set the whole forest alight in spectacular arrays of colours. Hot springs, Gorges and glaciers and magnificent sceneries are the highlights of this trek. Ganesh Himal Trekking can be organized only for camping accommodation with the support of our camping crew. We start our trek from Betrawati, after driving almost 5 hrs from Kathmandu.
