This is also a great time to exchange currency and pick up any last-minute trekking essentials. At 5:00 p.m., we’ll conduct a pre-trek briefing at our office or your hotel, where you’ll meet your trekking guide, check your equipment, and review all critical details about your upcoming Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek. After enjoying a hearty breakfast, your first day of trekking on the Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trail begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, followed by a trek to Ulleri, situated at an altitude of 2,070 meters (6,791 feet). The drive takes about 1.5 hours, offering beautiful views of the countryside and distant Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival at Nayapul, you’ll meet your trekking crew, who will assist with preparations for your Eleven-day trekking adventure.

The trek starts along the Modi Khola River, leading to Birethanti, a charming riverside village. From there, the trail continues north along the Bhurungdi Khola, a stream that originates from the Annapurna and Ghorepani regions. As you ascend, you’ll pass through several traditional villages, including Matathanti, Ramghai, Sudame, Hile, and Tikhedhunga, before reaching Ulleri.

Ulleri is a beautiful Magar village famous for its 3,232-step stone staircase, a remarkable feature that challenges and rewards trekkers alike. The total journey takes around 6–7 hours, including time for lunch and short breaks. Day 4 : Ulleri- Ghorepani (5-6 hours Trek)

After a hearty breakfast in Ulleri, your trek continues toward Ghorepani, one of the most scenic and popular stops on the Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek. Ulleri, a charming Magar village, offers breathtaking morning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (also known as the Fish Tail Peak), set against a backdrop of lush green hills and forests.

The trail from Ulleri gradually ascends toward Banthanti, passing through a peaceful rhododendron and oak forest filled with the sounds of birdsong and the soothing sound of cascading streams. Spend the evening exploring the village and relaxing at one of the best, clean, and comfortable guesthouses in Ghorepani, preparing for the next day’s early hike to Poon Hill viewpoint.

Day 5 : Ghorepani - Tadapani up down (5-6 hours Trek)

Today is quite a tough day. We start walking around 5 o'clock to see the stunning sunrise and take in the panoramic view of 18 different Himalayan peaks, including three mountains over 8,000 meters high on a clear day. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail and Manaslu. You will be fascinated by the line of flashlights way up to Poonhill in the Morning. After sunrise and a stunning mountain view in Poonhill, head back to Ghorepani. Enjoy the hearty Breakfast at the guest house, we begin a continuous uphill climb almost same hight same view opposite site of Ponhill, nearly the same view from Poonhill, which is slightly tiring to heading up to around 1 hour, we reach Deuralli, a small hamlet, have tea and then constantly down Banthati for lunch under the huge rock near the deep into a ravine. We lunch in Banthati, heading to our final destination, Little Flat, and then Tadapani Khola. After climbing for one hour up to Tadapani, the picturesque villages of Gurung, encircled by the Rhododendron Forest, have 7 to 9 guesthouses. Tadapani offers a beautiful view of Annapurna South, Himchuli, and Fishtail, a glimpse of glassier. A lovely walk through the evergreen forest filled with rhododendrons and oak. Overnight stay at Tadapani's best guesthouse.

Day 6 : Tadapani - Landruk (5-6 Hour Trek)

On the sixth day of your Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek, begin your morning with a hearty breakfast before starting the scenic 9 km trek from Tadapani to Landruk. This beautiful section of the journey takes around 5 hours, descending gradually through dense forests, charming villages, and terraced farmlands.

The trail first leads to Ghāndruk, sub-headquarters of the Annapurna Conservation Area project, one of the largest Gurung villages in the region, known for its traditional stone houses and rich cultural heritage. From Ghāndruk, the path descends steeply to Quime, where you’ll cross a small bridge at Quime before climbing uphill toward Landruk, another picturesque Gurung settlement.

Upon reaching Landruk, located on the opposite side of the Modi River Valley, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak). The peaceful atmosphere, rolling green hills, and warm local hospitality make Landruk an ideal place to unwind. Enjoy a relaxing evening at a comfortable guesthouse in this charming mountain village.

Day 7 : Landruk - Low camp (5- 6 Hour Uphill climb trek)

After enjoying a hearty breakfast in Landruk, your journey continues with a scenic uphill trek to Forest Camp. This section of the Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek offers a steep ascent through dense forests of pine, oak, and juniper, providing a refreshing natural environment filled with mountain air. As you gain altitude, the views of the high Himalayan peaks become more apparent and breathtaking.

Forest Camp is a peaceful and secluded stop for lunch, nestled in the middle of lush greenery. After a short rest, the trek continues uphill through moss-covered woodlands and vibrant rhododendron forests toward Low Camp. The trail gradually opens up to panoramic vistas of Annapurna, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri—a breathtaking Himalayan skyline that dominates the horizon.

Upon reaching Low Camp, located at the edge of the tree line, you’ll find a few simple lodges offering warm hospitality. Enjoy a tranquil evening surrounded by stunning mountain views and the serene beauty of the valley. Overnight stay at Low Camp.

Day 8 : Low camp - High camp (4-5 hour Trek)

After enjoying breakfast at Low Camp, your Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek continues towards High Camp via Badal Danda. The journey begins with a steep but rewarding one-hour ascent through dense rhododendron forests, offering a fresh mountain air and a peaceful trekking experience. Upon reaching Badal Danda, the forest gives way to open ridgelines, revealing panoramic views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and the Annapurna Range.

As you climb higher, the ridge narrows, offering breathtaking vistas of deep valleys on both sides. On your left, the Modi Khola Valley stretches toward the Annapurna Sanctuary, dotted with charming mountain villages. On your right, the Mardi Khola and Seti River Valleys unfold below, and on clear days, you can even catch a distant glimpse of the Pokhara Valley.

The trek to High Camp follows this scenic ridgeline, where you might spot Daphne (Lophophorus), Nepal’s national bird, among the rhododendron bushes. The higher you go, the more dramatic the Himalayan panorama becomes, with every step bringing you closer to the snowy peaks.

By afternoon, you’ll reach High Camp (3,580m)—a small settlement with a few teahouses perched above the clouds. Here, you’ll relax, enjoy a warm meal, and prepare for the next day’s hike to Mardi Himal Viewpoint, surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of the Annapurna region. Overnight stay at High Camp.

Day 9 : High Camp - Mardi Himal Base Camp 4500 Meters and Back to Badal Danda (8-10Hour Trek)

Start your day early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas—one of the most memorable highlights of your Poon Hill to Mardi Himal Trek. The trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m / 14,763ft) takes about 5 hours, following a steep and rocky trail that tests your endurance but rewards you with a true sense of accomplishment.

From the top, enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Mardi Himal, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, and Gangapurna, all glowing under the morning sun. After soaking in this unforgettable Himalayan scenery, you’ll descend to Badal Danda, where floating clouds drift past—creating a magical atmosphere to end your day.

Day 10 : Badal Dada - Sidding Trek and Drive back Sidding to Pokhara or altranetive route back to Pokhara

After enjoying a memorable morning at Badal Danda, surrounded by stunning Himalayan views and rich biodiversity, your Mardi Himal via Poon Hill Trek begins its descent toward Siding Village. This scenic alternative route offers a peaceful walk through lush forests and traditional settlements, providing a glimpse into rural mountain life.

After a hearty lunch in Siding, you’ll take a shared jeep back to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic drive through terraced hills and river valleys. Once in Pokhara, spend your evening relaxing at Lakeside, enjoying a boat ride on Phewa Lake, or exploring the city’s vibrant cafés and shops.

Alternatively, you can choose the classic return route via Forest Camp, Deurali, Pothana, and Dhampus Phedi, followed by a drive back to Pokhara.

Day 11 : Pokhara _ Kathmandu (5-6 Hour drive)

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, you will drive back to Kathmandu on a comfortable tourist bus, a scenic journey that takes about 5–6 hours along the picturesque Prithvi Highway. During the drive, you’ll pass through charming villages, terraced hills, and winding rivers that beautifully showcase Nepal’s countryside.

Alternatively, you can choose to fly back to Kathmandu for an additional cost, enjoying a 25-minute flight with breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan range.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll check into your hotel and freshen up. In the evening, join us for a farewell dinner to celebrate the completion of your unforgettable Poon Hill with Mardi Himal Trek. During the farewell dinner, please tell us your flight schedule and departure details. We will arrange the necessary transportation and pick you up from your hotel three hours before your flight time to ensure a smooth and timely transfer to the airport.

After breakfast, our team will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport according to your flight schedule. We’ll pick you up from your hotel three hours before your departure time to ensure a smooth and timely check-in process.
