The best time for bird watching in Nepal is during the autumn (September–November) and spring (March–May) seasons. During these months, the weather is clear, migration is in full swing, and bird activity is high. Winter (December–February) is also excellent in the lowlands, especially in Chitwan and wetlands like Taudaha, where migratory species gather. Asiana Treks and Tours schedules trips based on seasonal bird movements to give you the highest chance of rewarding sightings.
Most bird watching sites on our itinerary are accessible with light to moderate walking. In Kathmandu Valley, Nagarjun Forest and Phulchoki require some uphill walking, but at a gentle pace.
